I was able to finally replicate the wrong position bug using the newest version (1.08)! On the Hockenhamring i was on 6th position just behind the 5th placed driver (Hakkinen) when crossing the finish line.  Just before the racescreen faded away me and the driver behind me, who i just overtook in the last corner, both gained a position with Hakkinen now in 7th. Maybe he retired just after the race finished, or because all three were within a split second?

I also noticed three other bugs:

1.) When you give an order to your second driver before the race starts, you can't switch him back to normal until the race starts.

2.) It kinda feels like when setting the dev focus on the next years car that development on the current is also elevated.

3.) I had a few  instances where i got no sponsor bonus even though i should have. The screenshot below shows the standings after the first race (double points) with me finishing 4 and 7 but not getting the bonus for finishing the race 6th or better.

i just noticed a few more things:

1.) When starting a new session of Formula XD and using it's screenshot function, screenshots done in previous sessions get overridden.

2.) On the Hamburgring i had one occasion in which a rouge safety car missed the leader which was then able to build up an considerable lead. I had made a screenshot but pls. refer to 1.) for it's whereabouts.

3.) Not sure if this is a bug or a feature: Also on the Hamburgring (maybe on other tracks to?) i noticed that you can pit during  a safety car session, when all cars are in safety car formation, without loosing any time or postitions at all when paying the maximum amount on the pit crew.

4.) Not sure if this is a bug or a feature: The next year's car performance data is currently at max or close to at all categories, yet when starting a new season everything is around 50% on this year's car (using the second best designer). Also performance for the next car is also nearly maxed out at the start of the season.

5.) Regarding the wrong race results i had previously mentioned: I'm relativly sure that the race was over and faded out when my driver was in 8th place but was listed 12 in the results screen without a mention of scoring points (you know in the interview or the hooray you are special notification at the buttom of the screen). So far however, i could not replicate this bug and i can't rule out that i ultimatly saw things that never happened.

First off, this has been so far a realy enjoyble simple F1 management. It actualy reminds me a whole lot of Grand Prix Wizard in it's ability to realy simulate a lot of races in an short amount of time. Unfortunatly the game however has still a few bugs and other shortcommings i would like to mention:


Bugs i have found so far: 

- Cars behind the safety car sometimes seem to leave to much space to one another This happened to me twice in the same race on the Hockenhamring  (Random safety car rules ;-) ) where the field was essentialy diveded into 3 seperate groups in which the leading car of each group left a whole lot of space to the car in front of him. Did not make a screenshot of this unfortunatly.


- wrong standings at the end of the race. This also happened to me at the Hockenhamring where i placed the car in 8 place but was in 12 place after the end of the race. Can't remember it was the very same race as in the one above since i reloaded it a few times... just for scientific reasons of course.

- Game breaking Bug at the beginning of the second season which does not let me continue after i acknowledge this years funding. The error message looks like this:

I also have backed up the save file if needed.


My thoughts on some of the gameplay elements so far:

- Number of Races per seasons: I think that 8 races (up to 10 in Sandbox mode) are, at least for me, to few. This makes every race count so much, especially when reliability is an issue. In such an case you just need the additional time to finally get a race where the car performs and doesn´t break down in the last corner (the latter happened far to often for comfort to me, expecialy when i was finally in the points).


 - Number of laps per race: The overall lenght of the races is fine, even though i would wish that longer races with adjustet values for stamina, tire wear, break down rates and so on.

-Bernies roulette: An option to disable certain elements or all would be nice. I especially dislike the sprinkler because it takes the tactical option of choosing different tire compounds away and replaces them with damp tires only, unless it also rains heavy. Then you at least have to switch to wet tires at some point. This would be much more interesting if the sprinkler would randomly activate for x-amounts of laps sometimes during the race and not sprinkling the whole time. Also elimination makes the race like 10 times easier because many of the favorites die pretty fast since they start at the bottom, due to a lack of qualifying, choosing the hard compound and everyone going flat out at the begining of the race.


No qualifying: This is actualy a big problem for me that after the first race the grid is based upon the championchip standings. A simple, fully automatic qualy represented by a list at the start of each race would be sufficient. Maybe also ad normal training sessions before the qualifying and an warmup session before the race. Grand Prix Wizard had this feature in which cars could have problems in each sessions ranging from simple mechanical/electronical issues, due to reliability problems, to the whole car in bits and pieces if one of your drivers kissed the wall. Depending on your head mechanic´s skill and his number workers the cars also got repaired between each session and between races.


Races themselves: So far they seem fine, even though overtaking seems to be far to easy with cars at the back often jumping at the top in just one single lap. Also a few more informations such as lap times, gaps between cars, a commentary function, so that i know what problems other teams have or where i could review the radio messages of my drivers, and a simple tire wear meter (can be something abstract instead of a bar like 5 stars = all new, 1 star = worn out) would be nice.

Presentation of informations: While this game has a tutorial it only really tells me things that are pretty self explanatory. I for example don't know exactly how stamina work's. Does it only get depleted when i drive flat out? Does it regenerate when im driving normal, defensive or backing up? What does Cooling in the performance section mean? Does it increase engine power or perhaps it's reliability? Does it increase stamina regen? Basicly things that could be easily explained with just an litte tooltip or an good old fashioned manual or faq.

Money money money: Actualy, you are swimming in this stuff even as an backmarker. Also hiring a second driver is kinda a no burner because the second driver bonus each race makes one kinda paying for himself. Example: When choosing one of the better upfront paying sponsors like SUM gives you 480k upfront each race for each driver + a 32k bonus for each position. This basicly gives you just over 500k even if your driver always retires and places last, making you 4 million a year. An additional driver like Dobader costs 2.5 million + an additionaly million for a second car already making a plus of 500k a season even without taking in consideration the additional prize money and merchendising. How are the latter 2 actually calculated by the way?


This is it for now even though i have still a few other things i would maybe like to mention at a later time point if you consider this kind of feedback worthwhile. Do you have some sort of forum by the way where to post such things, cause i could not find one.
